Kokoda with Mates in Construction

I have been very fortunate over the years to have walked the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea 16 times with my first crossing in 2004. This year I will be walking and filming my 17th crossing with a very important client and organisation, Mates in Construction. MIC works very hard to raise awareness and provide training and support in the prevention of suicide in the construction industry.

Each year, MIC running a fund raising trip across Kokoda in order to raise money and awareness for this significant issue. To help in the fund raising, I have set up a special gallery of images (including the one below) for sale that will have all profits donated to MIC. Images will be available for sale until the end of Septemeber. Check them out HERE.

The classic view of Namche in the Everest region of Nepal. Snow capped peaks, blue skies and a village on the side of a mountain. Some of the best scenery in the world.

Returning to Nepal

My images of Kathmandu, Nepal have a very different significance for me now…. simply cannot wait to be back over there, meeting with old friends and introducing new people to a beautiful country…. helping to make them feel as welcome as I always have…..

Preserving the Ancient – Thangka Painting

Preserving the ancient form of Buddhist Painting, the Thangka. I was fortunate enough to speak with a 14th generation grand master of this ancient art form and his apprentice on how it has changed in his lifetime and the importance of its preservation.
